Senior Thesis… Take 2
I got my second draft of my Spanish senior thesis back on Monday. I started revising it today. I just did some pedigree stuff, mostly grammar and wrote some clarification sentences. I haven’t really delved deep into it, yet. I still have to rewrite my Introduction (again!), write a conclusion, and also include an appendix/notes page. Tomorrow I will go to Folwell so I can utilize their sweet Spanish grammar and spelling software. I’m hoping this will help me fix my grammar. I want this paper to be as perfect as I can make it.
I think I’m in the home stretch, though. The feedback I got from my professor this time around isn’t as bad as the first time. Which is good, it means I’m improving. I still have a ways to go, though. I’m just relieved that I don’t have to do anything crazy like write it over again, which was one of my biggest fears.
I turn my paper in to undergo a third and final revision on Monday. This revision will mostly focus on grammar and fluidity of the paper. Once that revision is over, I’m on my own. I will turn in my final paper when I give my oral presentation in class, which will be December 7th, or if I need more time, during finals week.
I’m feeling better about this paper, now that I know that I’m also done. I’m just glad that I have a professor who will push me and force me to write it now, instead of the week before like other professors. I was talking with a colleague of mine today, and she told me when she wrote her Spanish senior thesis, she didn’t start writing it until around this time. She was shocked to find out how far along I am. I’m just looking forward to being DONE with the project before finals week, so I can focus on other things. That’s the goal. :)
